Ricardo Pietreczko's darts career hit new heights in October 2023 when he won the German Darts Championship. It was the German's first PDC ranking title and included impressive wins against former world champions Stephen Bunting, Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright.

The man nicknamed 'Pikachu' won his PDC tour card at European Q-School at the start of 2022 and broke into the world's top 64 in September 2023.

Ricardo Pietreczko & Datadart

The darts Ricardo Pietreczko currently uses are his signature Datadart Ricardo Pietreczko Steel Tip Darts in 23g. These darts are made of 90% tungsten and feature a straight barrel with radial grooves and parallel cross-cuts at the front section of the barrel for an enhanced grip. The Ricardo Pietreczko darts set is complete with a black PVD coating and coloured rings at the front and rear of the barrel. The Datadart logo is laser etched on the centre of the barrel.

These darts come in Pietreczko’s preferred weight of 23g, as well as 21g and 25g, so they can suit a wider range of players. His signature darts are also available in soft tip form (21g). Pikachu Flights

The Datadart Ricardo Pietreczko Dart Flights feature a similar branding to the Pokémon theme, which is a nod to his ‘Pikachu’ darts nickname. He was given this nickname earlier on in his career as a result of a translation mix-up during a tournament. His last name of Pietreczko was mistook by someone as Pikachu – a Pokémon character – and the ‘Pikachu’ nickname caught on from there.

His signature flights come in the popular Standard (No. 2) shape and are made of 150 microns, to provide his darts with extra resistance to wear and tear during matches. These flights come in three different colours (black, red and yellow), the same setup he uses on the PDC tour with three different coloured flights on his darts.
