Bullseye Darts

Bullseye has a long and rich history in the world of darts dating back more than 40 years. The British darts-themed TV gameshow was created by Andrew Wood and Norman Vaughan and first aired on ITV in 1981. The show featured three pairs, each including one amateur darts player and one quiz expert, who would compete against each other in a series of darts games and quizzes to win prizes.

Originally running on ITV from 1981 to 1995, the programme grew a large following with audiences of up to 20 million viewers tuning in during its peak. Bullseye returned in 2006 for one series on the TV channel Challenge, whilst more recently in 2020 the show was brought back as part of Alan Carr’s Epic Gameshow on ITV.

The latest remake introduced Bullseye to a whole new audience of darts fans, to go with the huge following of viewers from its first run in the 1980s and 1990s.
